About Me
Welcome! I am PhD scientist specializing in ecology and evolutionary biology conducting post-doctoral research for the Indonesian government's Research and Innovation Agency.
I investigate patterns of evolution with an integrative approach using observational and genomic ecological data. My current work highlights malaria (family Haemosporida) parasites of endemic bird communities on the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia. I also analyze the gut microbiomes of these hosts as a potential indicator of parasite pathogenicity.
In addition to my research, I regularly participated in STEM outreach programs for various organizations and K-12 schools in New York City. I am currently enjoying the transition to life as a bule lokal in Cibinong, Indonesia, and developing a series of R Studio workshops to teach ecologist how to run all their data analyses in R.
